I don't know about you, but I'm ready for the Fall to roll around. I am ready for the leaves to start turning, to hear the wind rustling the trees and for cooler days and nights! With the temps in the high 90's (and indexes of over 105) it is hard to imagine that those days are really just around the corner! But they are.....before we know it we'll soon start to see ads for Halloween candy & costumes; neighborhoods will be hosting Fall Festival festivities with pumpkin carving contests and giving hayrides, etc. I'm getting giddy just thinking about it (the Fall is my FAVORITE time of year!!).
With that said, I wanted to list my newest Fall smocking design. This is a Fall Festival Pumpkin design to be used on boys' shortalls, longalls, Girls' bishop dresses and pantaloon sets. I have named this blog The Traveling Gypsies because we move so frequently due to my husband's job. I have decided that blogging (I am brand-new to this) will be a great way to keep a journal of our life!!! SO, I'm diving in and will be blogging about anything...the daily routine of life, a little about my businesses, mostly my children and just about my life in general...really anything goes!!!
Visiting from Lots of Lovin Weekend bloghop :)

Glad to connect with you on vB. Those outfits are adorable :) I wish our temps were only in the 90s. Our average temperature for July was 107!

Thanks everyone for your comments and for following!! Jenny - where do you live? My husband was just out in AZ and it was 110 and still 102 at dusk!!! He said it was miserable. Our average temps here for July was 97, but with the hot sticky humidity it felt like 105ish (so the weatherman says!!). All I know, it was hot, miserable hot ...the kind of hot where you can hardly take a breath. My dad likes to say, "it is too hot to even go to the pool".
ReplyDeletePenny, these are precious! Do you hand smock these or does someone else?

Welcome everyone! Agent- I WISH I had the sewing talent! I actually designed some of the smocking, but I work with someone who hand smocks them once the design is finalized. Smocking is a true art.....one I wish I had learned!
ReplyDeleteLori- it really is a small world! What is your family name? Mine is Lambert. Stopping by your blog in a moment!
Lisa- thanks for stopping by! It has been so much fun with my 3 kiddos....it is amazing how quickly they grow!!

With temps already freezing off and on at my house and the freeze and snow lasting well into June, I'm not so sure that I'm ready for fall, yet. I love how enthusiastic you are, though, and it gets me thinking about all of the good things autumn brings. I love the Halloween dress! So cute! Visiting from vB.
ReplyDeleteI am so ready for fall, too! I am just craving the smell of apple and cinnamon, mums, pumpkins... I love summer, but fall is my favorite!

ReplyDeleteI am too looking forward to the fall cooler weather although here in Orlando we have no change in colors. We will need to plan a trip up north to enjoy the fall.
